Jidan Cleaning Celebrates Black History

Black Americans have made our world a better place. February is a time for us to recognize and celebrate their many contributions. It can also be a reminder for us to carry on their work and honor them by helping others.

Jidan Cleaning is very excited to be partnering with Tree House Books to support its Books in Every Home campaign. Tree House Books is a literacy center and a giving library located in North Philadelphia. Their mission is to create a community of readers, writers, and thinkers.

In 2017, they’re hoping to collect and distribute 50,000 books and 200,000 books by 2020.  That’s enough books for every home (with children under 18) in Philadelphia!

We would love to help them reach their goal by collecting as many books as we can by March 20th, and we need your support.

They need new and like new books in the following categories:

  • Children’s books of all kinds
  • Classic books read in schoolBlack History Month
  • African-American literature

If you can help, please bring your book donations to Jidan Cleaning’s Philadelphia office at 4548 Market St, Suite 219. You can also contact us to arrange a pickup or to answer any questions at 609.714.0426 or 267.233.5050

Tree House Books could also use your support in other ways! If you are interested in donating, volunteering your time or skills, getting involved in the book distribution efforts, or learning more about their literacy programming, visit them online at Treehousebooks.org!

In addition to Tree House Books, there are hundreds of other ways to give back or volunteer your time not just in February but throughout the year. If your small business is looking for more ideas, visit VolunteerMatch.org.
